the parents should just give space for the two to bond in their new house.maybe ask them out to dinner or have them over for dinner but their is no real rule of thumb you could go shopping as mom knows her sons likes and dislikes they could go to lunch and bond but i would highly suggest they dont go to a strip club or anything lol good luck to the bride and groom and congrats to all ( the couple and their parents)

That would be a nice gesture on the parents part. The bride and groom will know these parents care about them and aren't trying to butt in but are simply being nice. I took my daughter and her husband food shopping when they got back from their honeymoon. I did it not because they asked me to but because I wanted to. I remembered how it was first starting out in a marriage.

I say you can get together for a luch and talk about the wedding and what you did on the honeymoon, leaving out the adult stuff lol. This will save you from having to do it over and over again. But their is nothing that either family has to do.

I guess it depends on how close knit the family is. You don't really have to do anything. But it might be nice to plan a family dinner - at someone's home or maybe a nice restaurant - just to celebrate their coming back and hear all about their trip.
You could also do something nice like fill their fridge, clean their home up, etc. But some people get upset when other people come into their house and clean, cook, etc.

What do you mean after they come back? After the wedding everyone leaves. After the couple that got married comes back from the honeymoon, the family isn't there.

The grooms parents can breath a sigh of relief.
The brides parents have to get second jobs to pay off their credit cards.

by the time the young honeymooners returned, the parents would have been smart enough to move without leaving a forwarding address for those leeching imbreds.
i'm sorry, what was the question?

Nothing....you wait for them to contact YOU! They're starting a new life, and things will happen they're not ready for, but don't interrupt the newlyweds until they ask you to!
Otherwise, you might be seen as overbearing, or trying to run their lives! Most young couples today, already live together, so they'll just be coming "home"....
