I can't sign in to Yahoo messenger. What is going on?

YIM has gone down. It seems to be a US failure. I've logged on (in Canada) but none of my buds in the US are online anymore.

Thank God.....and I was thinking something bad had happened either to my computer or to my net-connection. It seems YM is running low virtually everywhere. At this very moment every other activity of Yahoo is running on smoothly.....barring Yahoo Messenger. Hope Yahoo team members are reading this specific problem.

Yahoo knows the system is down. It would be nice if they would send out an e-mail to everyone and let us know whats going on and when they expect to be back up again. I appreciate that it's free, but this still really sucks.

I'm thinking the main servers went down.
Gotta love free (Yahoo!) stuff...LOL
We're kinda stuck waiting it out.
Might be they're updating the servers for the "New" 8.0 messenger and all the other crud that links in with it.
I tried seeing if there's any info in the help.yahoo.com pages giving info on server status...couldnt find any.

It's a funny thing, because mine WAS working earlier this afternoon, but when I just checked it seconds ago I too wasn't able to sign in, so I guess that means that we're all experiencing "technical difficulty" as they say on TV. I guess we'll all just have to try again later.

Yahoo servers are being screwy basically. Yahoo mail and YIM are both down atm
