Why not get a small one first on a n ankle or etc. then wear it and if you really do like it go for the arm tattoo...it gives you a little more time. This will be with you for life.

depends...what do you do for a living (or what do you plan to do)? Many people frown upon tattoos, but what they can't see won't hurt them. I have had friends that have been qualified for jobs and they didn't get them because of the tats- they were told this. Just be careful and remember, it can effect the rest of your life! Oh...and be sure you really like it and that when you are an old man that people aren't going to point and stare!!

I was always told if it's on the right, it means you're gay.
But, .who cares? Is a straight person only allowed to get tattoos on the left? lol
stupid.
So, it doesn't matter. Whichever feels right to you.
I have 4 tattoos on my left and 1 on my right.
And I'm a straight female. lol

I think that depends on the tattoo. Is it runic or tribal? Is it something from the past or a current dream or desire?
Placement is important for permanent art.

I do not think it really matters. My sons first tattoo is on his left and the second on the right.
