The yahoo servers are having issues. Apparently Yahoo Mail and YIM are both down

No sorry I'm not having any problems with Yahoo! Messenger. I was just using it not so long ago. It was working fine for me.

I do believe that the Yahoo!Answers Yamsters finally escaped out of their cages and is causing havoc within Yahoo.

Try uninstalling it and going back to a previous version that isnt BETA....I am using 6.0.0 1922 and not having problems with it..Beta is experimental and we are the guinea pigs for it.. this site will give you all previous versions.

Yes. It's not working. I hope they fix it soon. I had to go through programs and -thank God I'd saved it- clicked on Mail.
