I have a Toshiba Satellite that I bought 3 years ago. It has worked great. No problems and I'm pretty rough with it. I carry it to school in my backpack every day and install different operating systems all the time. I would get one again.

Hi,
Tosh used to be the best laptops think the sat pro 4600 was their last really good one after that not so good. Although they had lots of features a lot came back with problems, now I prefer HP Compaq machines. I wouldn't go for a Dell even though they are cheap again reliablity is a problem. Hope that helps PP

I love my Toshiba Satellite. It's doing everything I want it to do and more than I dreamed. Every puter can have problems, treat them with care and don't overdo the abuse and you should be fine with a Tosh.. as that person said. Good nickname for them.
I just want more ram! LOL..
512 doesn't tickle me, but, haven't had any problems with programs running.

Toshiba is a decent brand, but ThinkPads are really the best engineered notebooks.

i just got a toshiba satellite a105 s4001, and i really like it. so far i haven't had any problems with it. not to mention, the battery life is pretty good too; fully charging it will leave you with about 3 hours of battery life. it's a good laptop for a cheap price, and i highly doubt you will have any problems with it.

Very good. The only issue I've heard of is the weak pin on the power connector. I've heard of some breaking off when disconnecting the power cable.
