That's a bit too high. Try each of these steps, and check your CPU temp after each one. The goal is to get it around 55 when the system is under load.

Step 1: Open up the case, vacuum out all of the dust bunnies. Use compressed air (which can be purchased from the store in can form) to blow out the CPU heatsink (the metal grid that sits over your CPU), and all of the fans.

Step 2: Open up the case, let it breathe. Consider relocating it outside of the cabinet to a place with more airflow.

Step 3 (make sure your fans a very clean before you do this, you don't want dust in the motor): Take out the fan(s), on the back of the fan there should be a sticker. Remove this sticker, drop some oil in the hole (WD-40 works great), spin the fan around a bit. Repeat this step until it seems that the fan will take no more oil. Wipe off the excess, replace the sticker, (you can use scoth tape if the sticker will no longer hold, make sure you've wiped the excess oil away)Repeat this step with all of your [removable] fans (not the Power Supply fans).

nominally a CPU should run in the neighborhood of 105 degrees F or less (40.5 C) you need a way to reduce the temperature of the processor or you run the risk of damaging it not merely hanging it.
