You know, I can understand where your coming from if you have really bad cramps and stuff with your periods cause, I'd have cramps that were like Labor Pains when you give birth and I really suffered. But, for me - you know when your going to start - you can just tell, anyway, I'd always take a couple of Advill or Aleeve even before the cramping & pain started but when I knew it was going to happen - if I caught it in time - I hardly even knew I was having a period. It's just like when I (I get Migraine's all the time) feel a very slight headache and before it turns into a migraine - I'll take a couple Advill or Aleeve and if I catch it before it became a real headache - then wa-la. "The trick I believe to prevent having Period Pain - is to take a pain medication (Advil & Aleeve were all I had) but you take what ever pain medication works for you and you take it when you KNOW the pain's going to start - and if you catch it before the cramping & pain, bloating, etc. starts - then it's usually pain free". And then take your pain medication as it tells you to do on the prescription or over the counter medication - Worked for me.

You could always have a hysterectomy, that stops your periods so that would stop your period pain. It's kind of a radical solution but it depends on your age and whether you are intending to have children or not.

If that is too far out for you, then the best thing is what everyone else is offering, midol, pamprin, advil, aleve, most anything like that should help.

My wife used to spend the first three days of her period in bed every month. She tried the heating pad, which helped some, she took midol, no help, she took all the other things too. After she had her first baby, she never had the pains with her period again.

Now if you are a teenager, I'm not suggesting that you go out and get pregnant, no matter how much fun it would be, but birth control pills simulate that until you are old enough to get married and have a child. That might be your best alternative.

Good luck and I hope the pains ease quickly for you. I know they aren't any fun, and I'm sorry you hurt.

Try going on the pill. I know lots of people think it has bad side effects, but there should be one out there that works for you. Cramps will usually be lessened by using the pill. You will also have lighter and shorter periods, and you'll always know what day your period will come.

Heating pads are a natural way, (or rubbing your hands togethr and placing them on the points of pain), but there are medications, like Midol or Pamprin. There are also prescription drugs that can be recommended by a doctor.

stay active and try to avoid caffeine as much as possible even if you have chocolate cravings lol caffeine increases cramping , when you are laying down you can also put something warm on your belly as for leaking try bigger pads or a bigger size tampon , if you leak through still maybe you should wear a tampon and a pad together thats what i use to have to do it is really annoying but it works , and trust me no matter what you do to prevent the leaking , you will probably always look behind you just in case i kno i do lol =]

Pamprin can help. Otherwise go in a nice warm bath. you can also exercise before your period, that will help with the cramping.
