like certain employers hire you. some interview you and hire you or some just tell you to fill out an application and they hire you.

some employers are like this..
i have learned that usually who u know and what you know will most likely get you the job.. if an employer feels a good vibe from you, most likely will hire on the spot..
afterall who really wants to do all this paperwork?

the demand or need for someone immediately... or knowing right away that a person is right for the job... a feeling or immediate liking. or some are more selective than others. also depends on type of job... its a lot easier getting a laborer..or fast food type job... than an executive position. also depends on competition. if there are a million applicants an employer can afford to take his time and be more thorough ..while if only a couple people are available.. then the employer has to hire before they get away. some times there are no openings,, so an employer is just building up.. a potential hiring file.

they are in really need of the people for that postion at the time and some times it is were they talked to other people in the business and they tell them to come in and fill out the application.

If you need to give a resume, and they are impressed by it and they don't care to check references, they hire you to fill the position in a hurry so you can get to work and so they aren't short staffed.
