Dreams are a product of the sub-conscious since we can't determine every ones state in the self no one knows the why our dreams play out the way they do. Some people will have dreams they don't remember while others have vivid realistic dreams. It comes from needing REM. The dream state or rapid eye movement without REM we would soon show signs of lack of sleep and hallucination. we don't alter or lives to fit our dreams more like we alter our dreams to fit our lives. But there will even be things in our dreams which don't seem like ours at all. Just my opinion

YOU CANNOT "alter our lives to fit the dreams , or do dream to fit our life,". If you have good memory and if you are a good analyser you will realise that some dreams are a real source to some of our practical problems. It is not that today i have a problem and i will have a dream related to that in a couple of days or a week. Rarely shall you get that chance. Well to quote a small instance i had a particular dream (thank that i remembered it) , that dream i could interprete in parts and it has proved to be a decision maker to a situation which occured almost 2 years later (i keep a note of my dreams).

I think that all dreams are a gift from God. They give us insights into the way we are living our lives, from the perspective of the unconscious.
I am very interested in dreams and have been keeping a dream diary for about 20 years now!
I belong to a dream group and we meet every 6 months to share our dreams and offer any insights we may have - we do not call this interpretation. We usually say, "If it were my dream it would mean to me..." I have found this very helpful.
There are some universal symbols in dreams, but usually the symbols in dreams are unque to the dreamer, so that if someone says that they think it might mean something, only the dreamer will know when this is right - we call this an "Aha" moment.

Well neat question! Each type of dream has different meanings. For example, the dreams from your brain, this is when your brain makes up a story from your daily, or even weekly events and whereabouts merly because it has to continue to work while you sleep...you could dream about rain because it was raining all day or about candy because you saw and ate alot of candy that day etc. Then theres the innovation theory...Sigmund Freud I think his name was, believed that your dreams are your inner counselor. Basically, you should follow what your dreams tell you. It is your ''unconscious self''. Also, there are the dreams where you do ''forbidden'' things and this does not only pertain to sexual things which is the theory that dreams expose your inner desires. Then theres dreams where you see loved ones who passed....most of those are real and the loved ones show up often in dreams because you and their vibrations are closer to each other when you are sleep because you are on an unconscious level at the time, therefore making it easier for them to reach you. But all in all, simple things in dreams represent alot of emotion etc. So much to say not enough room or time but I hope I helped alittle.

Lefang; I have found that if I go to bed with a problem, I usually wake up with at least one solution. Dreams are great...so much detail. Much of the time I have to really dig into what the dream is trying to tell me, but I usually find out if I pay attention and apply it to the situation. Make sense? When I was a ballerina, we had some difficult steps to perform. I would go to bed dwelling on the step and by morning could do it proficiently. When my bf and I have a problem, there is a lot of detail and imagery. When I wake I may have to ponder to find what the problem was projected as and the solution then comes after. This was a very good question. Thanks.

i see dreams as a way of escaping from reality. It's nice to live to different lives. Although, what happens in real life may follow in our dream world. The next time you dream, try n remember that u can have complete control of it all, u are the master if it all...

Well, my dreams don't really shape my life. Most of my dreams are so mixed up and funny, that when I do happen to remember them, I laugh about them and forget them. I don't believe in all that dream interpretation stuff at all. But as far as everyday, normal dreams, I laugh and keep going.

It's been shown that dreams are the result of the random firing of brain cells. These random firings trigger memories, thoughts, fears, hopes and whatever else is stored in our brain. To apply any real meaning to them or to use them to alter our life in any way would be misguided, since they are merely "accidents" of sleep.

Dreams are messages from the subconscious, telling you in symbolic terms to fix some aspect of your life.
Read Carl Jung's Inner Work, learn to interperate them.

existence is a psychological phenomenon of being wakeful of our environment, i think. I have not got any expertise of the organic and organic information you propose yet existence could be basically like a dream, if no longer a dream in itself, because of the fact it purely lasts purely till we are wakeful of ourselves.
