"In case of the removal of the President from office, or of his death, resignation, or inability to discharge the powers and duties of the said office, the same shall devolve on the Vice President, and the Congress may by law provide for the case of removal, death, resignation or inability, both of the President and Vice President, declaring what officer shall then act as President, and such officer shall act accordingly, until the disability be removed, or a President shall be elected."

We could get the whole cabinet to resign and hold an election, right?

Oh, if only it were that simple!! But look at it this way, if Bush resigned, Cheney would be in the top spot. Then instead of a stupid @sshole, we'd have an intelligent @sshole. That could be even more dangerous!
And if wishing for the entire cabinet to resign is being a "traitor", what am I for wishing for engine failure of Airforce One with the whole team on board??

You are a traitor. Bush is a much better president than the moron before him who did nothing when the World trade center Was bombed on his watch. President Bush is just doing what the others had no balls to do. If he had done nothing like Slick Willy,he would have the same people on him for doing nothing. So,its a no win situation with him. Remember all the Dem's. in New York right after the buildings went down who said they backed him all the way. Even the drunk Kennedy shook his hand, and gave him support. Dems. just cry and wring their hands, but it takes a man to do what Bush has done.

Don't know how you can force a president to resign, when you can't even mobilize your community to stamp out drugs, gangs, or corruption at the local level. Endure for the next two years and begin to make changes where you can, instead of masking true concern in areas where you have no power.

Where are you getting that idea? This is saying what happens if the President resigns or dies in office, not providing a way to force him to resign.

anyone who supports bush remaining in office is a traitor, for sure. this man repeatedly violates the law and admits it. most recently, he blocked the justice dept from investigating his crime in wiretapping us. he has signed 750 laws with a special 'signing notice' that the law doesn't apply to him!!!!!!
he is a dictator and the republican congress is abetting him. he is bankrupting us, literally, destroying our good name, setting back world peace, setting back human rights advances, and fiddling with the planet warms. how anyone can support this criminal and not be personally profiting from his crimes is unfathomable.
unless you just take your orders from rush.
i think nothing will change, possibly not even in 08, and good lord, what will this man do in the next two years? he's destroyed an american city, allowed in a major terror attack he was warned about, gave a spy plane to the chinese, obstructed justice, can we survive until then? nothing will change until americans start speaking out in large numbers. I believe we should strike - pick a day and not a single american should work. every american should call congress and the white house. maybe we should refuse to work until the war crimes stop.
*** gee, how sad - point out bushes crimes and all we get from his supporters is 'he's great, clinton's bad.' oh, in what ways?
the people who did WTC I are in jail, because of Clinton. WTC folks aren't. And, bush was warned on 8/6/2001 that an attack on america was imminent and he stayed on vacation! and told ashcroft not to fly commercial!
how is an american president good when he advocates torture? Do you bushies remember when america stood for human rights? what kind of a traitor do you have to be to support a war criminal who says the laws don't apply to him?

I don't think we can force Bush to resign, however we have something almost as good. This November all 435 members of the House of Representatives and 33 members for the Senate are up for election. Getting rid of these lazy Bush lovers is almost as good as getting rid of Bush himself.

If you get to force President Bush to resign, I get to wipe out the whole eight years of Cheatin' Willy.
For anyone to want Air Force One to go down is sick. As much as I disliked Cheatin' Willy, I would never want him or anyone in his cabinet to die. As much as I disliked him, I still put his picture up in my classroom when he was President, just as I would any other President. You don't deserve to call yourself an American with that attitude.

We couldn't even keep him out of office by not electing him. Not bloody likely as long as the Republicans control both houses.
