The Harry Potter movies are great. I'm sure the books are better. My 15yo daughter reads the books.

If I wanted a poorly-rehashed version of every fantasy cliche mixed in with bad high-school latin, a flimsy messianic plotline, and trite and predictable dailogue, I'd just stuff my latin textbooks, my copy of Edith Hamilton's 'Mythology', 'The DaVinci Code', and my Dungeon Master's Guide into a giant mortar and sift through the shredded pieces to assemble something that would be just as worthwhile.
