Well that question can be argued either way. Some people might say with justice comes peace and with peace comes justice. Same thing with cause/effect. I happen to believe that we need justice in life because people who have been victimized must feel that justice was served in order to gain peace within. Hope this helps.

Without a set standard of ethics, there will be no Justice. Without a legitamate source, there will be no ethics.
So then we come to the question of who is it that defines ethics and will establish peace?

The Lord God Almighty through His Son Jesus Christ. This is what He has done and plans on doing. He has established the law, fulfilled it and brought peace to the hearts of men. He is going to bring peace in the world as well.

Simple really. Peace does not exist, because justice has not been served yet. However, justice does not mean the same thing to everyone.

Dear Tara,

There are many ways to interpret this quote - the most meaningful to me is as a pragmatic statement that without "just" institutions of justice (police, courts, lawyers), a country will not long last without . Similarly, without those same instutions, a country will not be able to establish itself as a place without .

For, what is much but an individual or group seeking to right a perceived wrong? If there are no institutions to mediate or redress such wrongs (when they are, in fact, wronged), than the individuals or groups will seek ways to repair the problems themselves - i.e., self-help.

It means President George W Bush and all those who help him (leaders and financial tycoons from around the world) MUST face the legal system for their crimes against humanity before peace has a chance.

Basically, it means there will NEVER be any peace.

Perhaps this is one of the causes or criteria for peace, but I believe without love and respect no peace will be there.
