yeah, I think that the Browns will continue to improve under Romeo. It will help that they will be getting some key injured players back this year as well. They face tough competition in their division, but they should be in there competing this year. My opinion at least.

Good, probably not but they will definitely be more respectable than before. Let's take a quick look:

QB-Charlie Frye won't turn into Brady or Peyton but he'll pan out to be a great leader and a good, mobile QB. He's tough and with the addition of LeCharles Bentley and Kevin Shaffer, he won't take too many sacks. RB Reuben Droughns will get around 5-7 TDs this year and possesses great power which should help the team. Jerome Harrison is good in-between the tackles and deserves a chance should Suggs get hurt. . . . again. Joe Jurevicius is a great red-zone target, Northcutt has great speed and Edwards should be back by midseason and you'll see Frye improve. If Winslow can live up to even half of his draft potential, the passing game will be lethal.

The defense was respectable last year at times, but should be even better this year. Baxter is back and should be good, Bodden was impressive last year and McCutcheon will have success as a #3. Now the LBers with just Andra Davis and pass-specialist Kamerion Wimbley will be solid for one reason. DT Ted Washington will FINALLY give Cleveland a big DT which the 3-4 strives upon. Look at the impact by Casey Hampton in PIT, but don't expect that much success.

Overall, respectable but probably under .500 for the season

the browns will go 7 and 9 at best this year and this is with divine intervention . Winslow is a rookie who can not even ride a motorcycle . Fry is gonna be using his hospitalization card lots this year . the browns realistically 3 years away from a play off berth if that . They are bad and they know it and the draft was not great either . Fefense should be better this year now that they are used to the 3-4 but the offense is weak at all points . We do not even have a pro bowler on the line .Long season for the browns this year and next . Odds on browns making the superbowl are 250 - 1 the last i noticed . Odds on playoffs this year are like 22-1 against so take it from there . Play for draft choices guys - you need them !

Not likely, because to be good you'd have to be a playoff team and I just don't think the Browns are at that point. Here's why.

Defense-- At best it's average, but improving. This will be an important year for their development and I expect them to make improvements, but it's going to be a learning year for them.

Offense-- This is where the troubles begin. There is nothing at QB to be excited about. Frye might develop into a good QB, but he will never be confused with a Manning or Brady. He showed some flashes last year, but his stats weren't that impressive at all.

Their receiving group is unproven Winslow has been a bust due to inuries and he must prove he can stay healthy and be the player that everyone thought he could be prior to the 2004 draft. Braylon Edwards has tremendous upside and flashed some great potential, but he will need to step it up and produce with a shakey passing game. This is the area with the biggest question marks, but it has the most potential!

Running back is serviceable. Droughns will get the job done, but no one will confuse him with Payton, Thomlinson, or Alexander. I think this area really needs to be upgraded.

That's why I don't see them competing for a playoff spot, but if Crenel builds in the right direction, they should be a force in two years time!!

They should go 8-8 this year. The defense got a nice tune-up, and the running game should be solid behind the o-line. I worry about the passing game. Joe Jurevicius is the #1 receiver? When will Braylon come back, and will he come back 100%? Why is Kellen Winslow still on the team? I've never been impressed by Northcutt. I'm still unsure if Charlie Frye is the answer. He may end up on the scrap heap along with so many others. (Ty Detmer, Tim Couch, Spurgeon Wynn, Kelly Holcomb, Jeff Garcia, and Trent Dilfer to name a few)

I love the Brownies,I grew up and soon will be moving back to Akron, but with Pitts,Cincy and Baltimore we're in a TOUGH division.Romeo Crennel is a very good coach, this year he can finally run a 3-4 defense as he did in N.E.,didn't have the proper personnel before.I think the Browns will be better just not sure the record will reflect that. As of right now, we are undefeated. LOL.Let's cheer on the Brownies and hope for the best.

Heck no! My prediction is 5-11. The Steelers on the other hand, will go 13-3, defeating the Browns 47-0 and 41-3, and winning the Super Bowl of course as well!!!

Being from Akron, I always think they Browns will be good. And this year I think it actually might come true. We are stocked with talent. We got key guys coming back from injuries in Baxter, Winslow, Braylon. Also we got a good leader in the locker room in Willie. Fyre is an amazing quarterback and will suprise alot of people, trust me I watched him tear it up in college with no recievers. We will be good, IF, and I mean IF we stay healthy. Oh and by the way, I hate the steelers with an unbeievable passion.

I think you will be surprised by the D, with Willie McG, and Teddie Wash. they added some key players to the D line, and you got yourselves a D line coach, all you need is the QB to play smart.
