Not the most skillful but nonetheless great. Lahm is my most favorite player so I'm not hating on him. I absolutely love him and think he has the potential to become a great player by the next WC. He played much better than Ballack in the WC games and deserves a lot of credit. He did make little careless mistakes and his passing is really not that great but he played a great defense. He's still very young(thank god!!!!!) and can only get better. Can't wait to see him again in the next game.

Although Germany is my team, I will have to disagree. It has been decided that the most skillful player is Zinedine Zidane (although not the most ethical...). But Lahm is awesome and I think he definitely has potential to follow in Beckenbauer's shoes. He is young and with time I believe he will be just incredible. So will Podolski. I am really looking forward to 2010, as these young german players should do great things for my team. Hopefully we will have a great chance at winning the cup next time.

Philipp Lahm's been great throughout this WC. He deserves more credit than Ballack (I like Ballack also). He is one of the best defense player you can get. But, he is still young, and can progress a lot more until WC 2010.

the most skillfull player in the world??? clearly you have not seen alot of football in your time...im sure people could name about a thousand and one players more skillful than him.
i mean, hes decent cause he played in the world cup...but he doesnt even come close to being the best.

now, i think lahm is a very good, young left-back. but he's nowhere nearly as good on the defensive side of the game as he is offensively... as left-backs go, i'll take ashley cole, cafu and heinze over lahm any day... but he is still quite good-a little undersized-but good!

i was very impressed with him during the wordl cup and he seems quite a revelation for Germany. He is still young and has the potential to stay in the German team for a long time.

He's great and my favorite, REAL fast, great player, but just some little mistakes. If he could fix those mistakes then he will become a awesome player.
The next FRANZ BECKANBAUER!!!!!!!!!!!!
