There are people on this earth that wear nothing, it is cultural and in some case it is a personal preference it is not gender oriented either. It is also matter of habit.
May be you should try it, you may like it. It is definitely cooler and you will find that it is more prevalent along the Equatorial belt and worm countries.
Men need some kind of support to prevent injuries Jockey strapp for example women need something to hold sanitary pads if they do not use tampons, again it is matter of habit.

African tribal people don't wear too. So do the people living in the jungle in Asia.
