"Self- discovery"! What a bunch of bunk! I have found that MOST of the people that use the term are only using it to try to explain away their CHOICES in life, like homosexuality.

Be honest with yourselves, people. The TRUE " self discovery" would be to throw the excuses away and face reality and stop using excuses that you got from Dr. Phil or other such "experts".

Self-discovery isnt that hard really. No expert can determine what it is that you have chosen to be as in how you are overall as a person. But there are some things that nature basically creates us as based on how our genes are. Yes sexuality its slowly being proven is a gene thing you are born with not a choice. I have found articles that back that up, one involved scientists being able to make fruit flies gay or straight based on a specific gene.
But really you should know how you feel about things just from your own expeirence not what others say about you.

People shouldn't have to "explain away" homosexuality, since it isn't a choice.
I think we'd all be a little better off if we'd bother listening to ourselves for once and not what other so called "athority" figures told us.
Also, I think I'd check the toilet if I were you, hun, because no matter how much you try to deny it, your **** does, in fact, stink.

It is merely being honest with yourself about who you are and what you want. If you could do that, you'd probably be a bit nicer.

Gay people don't need an excuse to be who they are.
You, on the other hand, need MANY....just for being.
Being gay, by the way, is not a choice.
If it was, do you think the millions and millions of gays and lesbians decided to be gay just because the world treats them so wonderfully?
