why does sexual orientation matter?

why does it disgust people? if someone is gay or lesbian it is their business. they are still people and deserve the same rights that we do. they cant ehlp who they are. if you are disturbed by gay or lesbian people..did you ever consider that they were disgusted with the way you are straight? i just dont get why it bugs other people. i am straight, but i see nothing wrong with it. if you have a problem with gays and lesbians i would really like you to tell me WHY?

HIV is a virus which infects its host through the exchange of certain bodily fluids. It spreads through unsafe sex - whether homosexual or heterosexual.

There is no direct link between pedophilia and homosexuality. Homosexuality/Bisexuality are sexual orientations. Pedophilia is a paraphilias - and occurs independently of sexual orientation.

Religious people usually say "being gay is a choice" because its the only way they can maintain the concept of homosexuality being a sin. Once its proven conclusively that its anything but a choice, then the religious right will have no leg to stand on.

I do not have a problem with gay or lesb. however i can give you the reason why people think it is wrong..

In the new tesament sexual orientation made no difference for the Gentiles were accepted into Jesus' ministry and they practiced homo...

It was not accepted by man because there was not many people back then and you had to have large families for power and war.

So to condone homo was not only not acceptable by some and by others for the saftey, growth and power of thier tribes..

So its damned if you dont have babies even if your hetro...the Baptist mother was cursed until John's birth...

And its damned if you do....you see Mary was pregnant by the Holy Spirit before Joseph married her...This by Jewish law made her a slut/whore....Thats why I believe they could not stay at a relatives house and had to go to an inn and then to manger or cave to bring forth our King..

In no way being a true child of God you are exhalted by the people or religion...To the contrary you are despised..as homo's today..

when God destroyed the world it was because they were all wicked not homo..

When the Lord talked to Abraham about destoying the cities it was not said because they were homo... because they were all wicked..... as God destroyed other nations or tribes in the old testament...

I realize it is talked about in the laws of moses..however that changed in the new tesament..

Jesus never ever said anything against homo...even tho there is infrence to homo in Sodom and Gormia..To the contrary he spoke up for it..

So really read the bible and not as taught by the false teachers

Well, it is also the right of many others to beleive in what they believe, that is the Bible.

Well, Bible taught us that marriage is for mand and wife, and thus no homo marriage. Why force it on the bible believer that the teaching is wrng and change? Where is my right?

It is also right for the gay to form their own religion, and conduct their own marriage blessing. But why coming into the church and stir up issues?

I also see no issue with gay, if they just do their sinful act within themselves, and not forcing others to accept their act. Who cares.

But I need to allow my children to grown up in an enviroment where the natural law applies, that is, male and female be united, for pleasure and procreation.

I need to allow my children to learn the truth from the Bible. Why put a stop in all these?

I think some straight people think that acceptance of gay people will somehow make everyone gay. I always hear the "well if everyone was gay, then how would we reproduce?" I frankly find that type of reasoning utterly idiotic, but it may help understand why some straight people (admittedly the stupid ones) fear acceptance of gays so much.

well it shouldnt disgust people i say, but they don't really get rights from the government because THIS government ((in the USofA)) feel that our morals and beliefs come should come from the Bible or follow it, because whenever the Constitution and laws and all that good "junk" were wrote, things were based on the Bible, so thats how it was wrote. I think thats why some people are discusted by homosexuals, because they're used to the ways of the Bible and thats all...

WE do not live in perfect world today or in the past. Our sexuality is something that is predetermined in my opinion. I knew I was gay at about the age of 12 have accepted who I am. Why must we judge one on their sexuality?

Heterosexual couples have been the norm of society for so long, that some people tend to turn their noses up at homosexual couples. (its just strange for some people to imagine two men, or two women being together in a romantic and/or sexual way.
