It's rare to get a false positive. Far more common to get a false negative. However, if you went to the doctor for a blood test, than he should be able to tell you one way or another. I'd go with what he said.

First go buy a better home pregnancy test, take it first thing in the morning, then either way call your Dr. If it was - and you have had the one say + then your Dr should really check you further to make sure. Because there is no false + but there can be a false -!!!!
Good Luck

The blood test is very accurate. You can not screw it up. the home test you can screw up and you can get a bad test. I would go with the blood test and it could be that your body is having a hard time. Sometimes stress, not eating well, and worrying about things can cause your period to go away for months. Try to relax and if you need to buy another test and see what it says but most likely you are not pregnant. Sorry

That's odd! What did the doctor say? Maybe she should check your hormone levels, because something is off with your periods. I guess you could try another pregnancy test either at home or at the doctors, however, the blood test will pick up a pregnancy way before the store kind.

If you took a blood test then your aren't pregnant. I would think but maybe you should ask more about other things that can cause your period to be light or spotting.

If the blood test said negative I am gonna go with that! You should still schedule an appt your obgyn to see what is up with your period.
It could be stress, or lots of other things. Never hurts to know for sure.

Sometimes pregnancy tests that are sold in stores are inaccurate. If you went to a clinic and had the blood test, I would go with those results because it is accurate. Go to your OBGYN!

Blood rarely lies. Might call the doc back and tell him the situation. They may want another serum, but highly unlikely.
