I once made the mistake of wearing socks with sandals when I was on holiday. My uncle said I looked like a Jehovah's Witness.
Definitely a no no!

Do you really need others to tell you how to dress comfortable?
Everyone will only tell you his or her idea as to how you should dress and that is relative to how they perceive them selves.
Do your own thing, you are not going to a Formal or to meet some ladies parents!
If someone does not like YOUR style, they have two choices:
either buy for you what they want you to ware or Notice the mistletoe on the back of your under ware and pretend that is Christmas.
And remind them not to go away mad, just get out of your face!

well fashion headed people would say nono i would say just be yourself if you are happy with socks and sandals go for it, you should do/eat/go out what makes you happy, so i say go ahead where you socks and sandals

'for a guy yes'? it still looks stupid! the whole point of sandals is to have the barefoot feeling while still wearing shoes, if you don't want stuff on/in your toes then just wear closed-toe shoes
