for monika: I live here, and I just wanted to see if anyone knows anything about my poor little country

my son spent nearly a year in Moldova
he was a mormon missionary there
he learned Romanian and now speaks it quite well
he showed me some pictures from moldova
he said many people there spoke russian, which my son did not speak, but many also spoke romanian, and some people spoke both
my son said it is a very poor country, but he met many fine people there, and he had hopes for its improving prosperity

Ohhh, you're from Moldova! Yes I've heard of Moldova. Just took a European Geography class and it was AWESOME! Now I'd love to go to Europe, everywhere.

you speak and write and read moldovan. its romanian sometimes written in cyrillic. the country is between ukraine and romainia. ur currency is leu. moldova was part of the former soviet union. capital of moldova is chisinau
