First, Scion is part of Toyota, so you'll find good reliability, reasonable prices, and great gas mileage. The tC is a small car with a spunky attitude. I took it for a test drive not too long ago, and it was an OK ride. It drove just fine, it was pretty sporty, and a fun ride, but I've driven better cars than that. The interior is kind of strange; it's really futuristic and modern...it wasn't very welcoming. The front seat had enough space, but the backseat was pretty cramped. The car isn't huge, but it'd be good for tooling around the city. Check out the reviews on www.caranddriver.com, www.edmunds.com, and www.roadandtrack.com. Look to edmunds for information, but Car and Driver will tell it like it is (thank goodness for them!). If you're open to other vehicles, check out the VW Rabbit. Some other people were saying it's gay, but screw that. It's a hatchback with that charming VW style and a classy interior. It's a car with personality. Both the Rabbit and tC have about the same gas mileage. They're similar in some ways, but no doubt one will stand out and speak to you more. Good luck with your search!

Good car for the money. A lot of options standard. You can't negotiate the price....you pay MSRP, like Saturns.
Check out the links below for more specifics on options, etc.
