no other species is actually capable of fire/ and cooking

My dog likes cooked food but hasn't yet figured out how to work the stove. It's not a matter of liking or disliking it, it's about having the means, knowledge and skill to cook it. I'm sure that some chimpanzee somewhere has been taught.

Many other species seem to prefer cooked food if it is provided to them.

Remember that most species only react to their environment as it is presented to them. Man is the only species which can manipulate it to any degree.

So, if man cooks it, other species will eat it.

I know that when a bear gets a cow it will take it and stash it. They will actually let the food 'flavor' before eating. They like it a little wrotten.

Good point though. Did you know that carmalization of proteins (bread crust, black part on a steak) is responsible for causing clogging in the arteries. Maybe we are not supposed to cook food, but for now I will take mine Pittsburgh.

Dogs, and I can prove it. Every day we cook one meal for ours, and he loves it. Usually we cook him a lean trimmed pork chop with sauteed onions and garlic. He will not eat the onions and garlic raw, though. However, his other meals consist of his own dried food. Too much human food is not good for dogs.

Since there are no other species that can tell us what they like, your question can't be answered.
