Ive heard that if you arent accepted into a med school in the US, then you can try for one in another country to get your Phd,

But what I wanted to know is ... if I were to go to a school in the Carribean to be a docor, would I have to stay there? or could I come back once school was over and be a doctor in the US?

I have heard of Ross University (Island of St. Kitts)- they have a med school and vet school. Ross works with other universities in the US. For example, if you wanted to be a vet, you would attend Ross for 3 years, then you could go do all of your clinicals at Cornell's vet school, and you would actually get your diploma from Cornell. You'll have to check their website to see what US schools Ross Medical works with. You can come back to the US and be a doctor here, you just have to pass all of the board exams, and state licensure procedures. If I were you, though, I'd work my tail off and try to go to a med school in the US from day 1. It'll probably be the hardest thing you ever do, but totally worth it in the end. Good luck!

Unfortunately, most employers in the U.S. are suspicious of foreign universities, even if the education is better at times. However, if you're not after the great pay, there are good medical schools in the Carribean. You might want to look into St. George's University in Grenada.
