Please, please, please....don't even consider it! We've learned alot about the damaging effects of the sun since most of us were children....ah, I remember the days...my brother and I as brown as baked potatoes...my mother lying on the beach trying get some colour....both she and my father are suffering from long term 'skin abuse' (for lack of a better phrase). My mother has had so many pre-cancerous spots burnt off her sometime's she looks like she's been roughed up by hoodlums with lighted cigarettes.
Learn from our mistakes: if you want that healthy looking glow then please get it from a bottle or tube...(now that sounds funny, normally I'm all for anything that's natural or real ----except when it comes to my hair colour----and I'm telling you to fake it!)
I hear clarins has a great sunless tanning product....follow the instructions to the letter to get the best results.

I have really fair skin also, and I used to go to the tanning bed it works the best. But I stopped tanning because its not worth the risk of skin cancer because a family friend died of skin cancer when she was just 39 years old. So please keep that in mind and be safe and use common sense.

Use a self tanner. I'm very fair as well and burn too easily - and after I burn it goes back to being white. Self tanners work, though, and they won't damage your skin like real tanning will over the long run!

Self Adjusting tanners, those work best for fair skin gals like yourself, OR spray on tan in a can always works.

Use tanning oils...they're usually something like spf 4 and you get great tans with em! Self tanners, you'll never be sure with them because you could get the fake looking tans a.k.a orange tans. Its better to do it naturally with a low spf sunscreen.

Try a self-tanning lotion or go for a mystic tan. You'll get some color without the negative effects of sun burn or cancer.

Don't get one. 90% of wrinkles and skin damage when you are older comes from sun exposure. Wear sunscreen and avoid the sun, and be proud of your fair skin. You should want to be unique, not a clone like all of the sun-baked models on magazines.

kay. pack a beach bag with lancome self tanner/sunscreen, beach towel, umbrella, cute shades, and money for fun stuff. head to beach. spread out towel, set up umbrella, don cute shades (good for discreet guy-watching too =), apply lotion and tan! have fun...
btw if you're not near a beach or its inconvenient find a sunny spot by a lake or in a field or backyard or somewhere. have fun!
