Much better life in the UK.... Marraige gives them a reason to request a British visa . Simple as that. I work with one such lass - She came from a small township on the outskirts of Moscow. She `fell in love` with a Brit 5 years ago at the age of 17.. married him 2 months later... arrived in the UK 12 months later and got an open visa to live and work here and filed for divorce 3 months later. I must say she is VERY attractive and a charmer. She told me she would have been destitute in Russia with no way of improving things. She regrets what she did and thinks fondly of Pete (Her ex) but saw it as the only way out.

I am married to a Russian woman and have been for 5 years and also i have been to the Ukraine too.There are many reasons why they marry Englishmen,as well as other nationalities like American.For many,its the prospect of a better life for Russia has many problems of its own and finding good jobs etc is hard.Also Russian men tend to be violent,cheating heavy drinkers with no prospects,and have no respect for their wives, Some of course are after money,but for many its just a better standard of living

I'm sure some Russian women genuinely love the man they are with whether he be English or not .
But sadly first thing that springs to peoples head is they are looking to move from Russia and become a British citizen.

In most cases nationality doesn't come into it. If you fancy someone you fancy someone regardless of where they are from.
But generally, maybe its because we have a better standard of living here compared with Russia. If there is a chance of her getting out of Russia and into the UK then some women will take it. I just hope she does really like you and not just using you to get a British passport. may be you are a true British gentleman.

They dont; like other foreign women, they regard British men as a passport to an easier life, access to our social services, free hospitals and benefits system. They get here, divorce, and live off the taxpayers for the rest of their lives. Thats why there is so little money to go round for pensioners and disabled people, and deserted mothers, who need much more than they ever get.

Is it really how low you think of us? Well, can't place a complete blame on you since unfortunately it is more common then not that you are right. As for me, I LOVE the accent and the fact that some display a certain whiff of aristocracy about them. It is hard to find British guys in the States though...

Russian women claim to love anybody they can scam out of their money. It's a major scam going on over there. Don't give here any money. She'll bleed you dry.

Money,never ever send any money to Russia for sick relatives or flights for her to come and visit.They only have one love "Western Union" office !
