I went to a Kylie Minogue concert last year,it was my first proper concert, and it was absolutly fantasic,at the end when Kylie went off everyone was cheering for an encore as they do,
my boyfriend at the time said it was time to leave because it would start to get crowded outside,
as we were leaving a huge cheer went up and i could hear Kylie talking to the crowd and i'm sure she sang a couple of more numbers,i was really upset, that we had travelled so far only to leave before it had finished,
i think this was extremley sefish on his part, and later found out this was the type of person he was selfish and self centered

Well, my dear, there are 2 types of people when it comes to these types of events:
1) Those that don't want to sit in traffic after such an event and will leave in the middle if they have to in order to "beat the rush". These tend to be Type A personalities. Controling, hot headed, workaholic, driven.

2) Those that consider the tailgating, traffic fighting, mob crush as part of the experience. They pack a lunch, cooler, BBQ pit & go places as a group. It can be fun. For them, life isn't a race. It is an adventure.

Which type are you?

Stick to your own "type", drive or go alone. It is pretty much that simple. There will always be hostile feeling otherwise on either side of this one. It is hard for a type 1 person to have to "stick around" and a type 2 person will always feel like they missed something big.

As to the most selfish, ridiculous thing anyone ever did to me? I had a huge black lab while married. We each had 1 dog. On divorce, I didn't want to split up the dogs. I felt they needed to stay together and wanted them both. He refused to compromise & demanded his dog. Using my argument against me, HE didn't want to split up the dogs. I let him keep both, he had the better yard. We got divorced; he put them both to sleep a week after our divorce was final. I found out 2 weeks later. It was horrible.

Please don't be offended when I say I wish I were young again and the most selfish thing I had experienced was leaving my first concert early.

I stood by my last guy of 3 years through things most would never stay through. As I was placing my father in hospice, the guy decided to go for gas. He never returned. He was not in a hospital or jail. He just went home, I checked. 12 days later my dad died. He did not understand why, when he called on the day he passed, I was not interested in further communication.

Even with that. Life moves on and it is good.

Why do you think thats selfish? common sense tells us to get out before the crowds, how was he to know that kylie was gonna sing a few more songs (thats assuming she did!) I would rather miss the last couple of songs/ goals of a boring football match or anything like that, so I don't get stuck in the tailbacks that happen so frequently in England. leaving 10 minutes early could save hours on your journey.

Selfish would've been if he'd gone by himself (or taken someone else)

Kiss him and apologise for those selfish thoughts YOU have had.

I am pretty old and I truly cannot think of one selfish thing anyone has ever done to me. I'm really an independent thinker and quite a philosopher and have no time for people who could even be selfish. My friends are all loving and giving and incredibly supportive. However, the way you get to have friends like that is to be that kind of friend. The more we give the more we get, and that's my philosophy. I pay no attention to public figures as they are on another plane and I have no control over them, only over myself. If I worried about people in entertainment I'd get ulcers and I choose to keep my excellent health and live to be a healthy 110, as longevity is in my genes. I enjoyed your question and it made me think.

I had a best mate, who I used to hang with every day. Anyway everytime I went up to some girl I liked,I used to get the cold shoulder. I later found out that my so called friend, had been going up to these girls before me and telling them a pack of lies, that I said about them.

Then after I realised what he was doing, and stopped hanging out with him,I would always see him, following the same girls around and chatting them up. But the thing was no-one liked him and he never got anywhere with anyone.

First of all, that's not selfish of him. If you two had been sitting in a few hours worth of traffic, then you'd have been mad. He was only trying to make it easier on both of you. Don't be so hot-headed.

In answer to your question, the most selfish thing anyone has ever done to me was when my mom was going to move my sister and I to New Hampshire. We would have to live with my aunt, her husband, and their 5 kids when we got there. We were going to drive the whole way there and would have been on the road during Christmas. I was 9 and my sister was 12. Our parents were divorced at the time, and we both lived with my mom (obviously). My mom told us not to tell my dad, and that she was going to leave a note in his mailbox the day we left, telling him where she was taking us. My aunt's ex-husband found out that we were going up there from his kids, so he told his mother and his mother called my dad's sister, who called my stepmom. My stepmom and dad work in the same office building, and my dad's sister didn't have the heart to tell my dad, so she wanted my stepmom to. After my dad cried for a while, he got a lawyer, filed a lawsuit, and my mom then wasn't allowed to move us out of the county.

Yeah, that's the most selfish thing anyone has ever done to me.

the first time i met my ex i took my best m8 with me and i said from the v beginning that he liked her more and she passed it off and then she told me that she didnt like him and then after 5 weeks he finshed me but what was the hardest thing to deal with was that she know and stood there for 2 days and said that he was ok with me and that i was been daft for thinking that he was going to finsh me and then the day b4 he finshed me i said to her is he going to finsh me and she said no. And he did and i was so upset and for a while i really hated her but i thought that she was my best mate and i wasnt going to loose her over a lad because he wasnt worth that much and what turned out was that she didnt tell me because she realised how much i liked him and i swear to this day that if it had been any1 else i would neva of been mates with her again

I had a crush on this guy and I wanted to go to Junior Prom with him. Problem was, I was a Sophomore and he was the Junior. So I had to get him to ask ME. We're good friends and I thought I could play it up and he'd take me.
Well, this girl who I am no longer friends with decided to "help" by telling him I liked him, expected him to ask me and she enlisted and army of freshman to whisper "prom with adelaide" every time he walked by.
So he didn't ask me. Or go at all.
When I asked her why she was such a b!tch she said -
"I didn't want something good to happen to you. You don't deserve a guy period."
I was stunned.
