I started with sweet potatoes for 4 days, then moved on to all other veggies. Each for 4 days... then moved on to the fruits. Be sure to not combine any foods, that way if your baby has a reaction, it will help you to determine what it could be. During this time of trying different foods, be sure to NOT change anything else like the formula (if you don't breastfeed) and the laundry soap. My doctor recommended that i try ALL the 1st foods, even prunes, and by the time she completed all she was ready to move on to 2nd foods. Good luck!

most people that i know, myself included, started them out on fruits. I started mine first on applesauce, then went to pears, etc. Once they had been started on all the fruits, I started with the veggies. Remember to wait a few days between introducing new foods, because that is how you will discover a food allergy. If you give them various ones at the same time, you would have no way of knowing what was causing the problem. Good luck.

You start with cereal first, preferably rice cereal. Bland is best as it won't upset your baby's stomach. After you have tried that for a week or so, slowly introduce vegetables one at a time. Let her get used to each vegetable too, meaning green beans only for a week, then carrots only for a week, etc. Fruit is not really needed at this point unless your baby is constipated. Fruit can cause diarrhea and she actually gets all the nutrition she needs from breast milk/formula. The only reason we start babies on baby food is to get them ready for when they are older and will eat only food.

Also, it is recommended that you don't start any baby food until the baby is 6 months old. I have read a lot of posts where people say they started their kids earlier and had no problems. But realize that food allergies come from introducing food too early to an infant.

Ideally start with Veggie first. But when we started cereal, we also mized in some peaches or applesause to get her used to the taste. Peaches and applesauce are the best. Veggies like carrots, green beans, and surprisingly peas are a big hit. Good luck!

Your doctor will probably tell you to start with orange vegetables. Then move to the green vegetables and about a month later start on fruits. I started my daughter on carrots and sweet potatoes. No matter what you give them the first time they probably won't really like it until they get used to the flavor and texture.

I started with veggies first...if you start with fruit first they may not want to eat the veggies because they are not as sweet.

You should always try to start with vegetables-current studies show that this somehow affects future preferences. I started my daughter on sweet potatoes, then carrots, then bananas and so on. I know many people recommend applesauce, but both of my kids hated the texture. Good luck!

Very first is rice cereal

Docs say veggies first, otherwise they will get used to the sweet and won't like veggies. That being said I started my son out on organic apple sauce. Don't do regualr apple sauce if you do start them out on it, it has too much sugar in it.
