Are DVRs DVD players also???? I really want a DVR but I don't know if it is also a DVD player, cuz I need a DVD player.

There are a few models that have DVD players built in. Like one from LG that is a DVD player/recorder, a DVR.
It is the LRM-519.

I have TiVo, and mine doesn't play DVDs, but I think some other DVR (digital video recorders) makers are coming out with ones that play DVDs. Check at a place like Best Buy or Circuit City and see if they have ones that play DVDs also.

No they are not DVD players. But that is a good idea though.

No they are not. Their primary function is to record live tv for replay.

No. It plays VHS and Betamax tapes.

they do, don't worry, I thought that as well
mine takes a little longer to play them, but you get used to it lol
