Yes, Sony will lose alot of money because of this. Developers already ditched Sony to work with Wii and the Xbox 360, and developers advised sony to lower the price of the PS3 or it will suffer in sales!

The price is way to high, I could buy a 360 and a Wii at that price. Plus GTA4 will be released simultaniously on the PS3 and the Wii. There isn't any real reason to buy the 360.

Its gonna be expensive, but if they can get some good (and I mean GOOD!) games to get the sales (Imagine how good the next GTA game *could* be) then they might be able to sell them. Its expensive, but its got a blu-ray drive and they are planning for the future (and also hoping blu-ray aint gonna be a flop lol).
Its not just a gaming console but a multimedia unit, and technically better than XBOX360. Only time will tell though ;-)

ya thats way to much! and there games are to be 70 to 100 dollars!! they will sell the first and second shipment to the rich but then it will be slow until they drop the price. i still think the 360 is better and im getting a wii too.

why do people don't look at it long-term. example Look at the xbox 360, sure the price is lower than the PS3 but the online capability is $50 a year and the PS3 is free.
