So you're like every other kid that wants to play ball.

Here's the good thing about not knowing what position and being average...your coach will place you as he needs you.

Go out for the team. They will find a position for you.

We had a kid that came out to be a receiver - tall, skinny and pretty quick.
...he was...okay I guess.
I took him on the defensive side because he could throw an elbow and knock people down...so he started to learn Cornerback.
We've recently retrained him to play running back and I think he'll stay there as he can gain yards quickly.

Go for it...you'll find a position soon enough.

If you're going for Offense...shoot for running back or wide receiver.

If you're thinking of Defense go for safety. You're a little short for the position, but I think since you're quick and strong, you could pull the position off well.

Running Back or Wide Reciver

running back would be a good position for you on offense. on defense, i would go for safety, the shortest of the defensive backs. ur a little small to be a corner, and just about the right size for a safety.

if you can take good hits, you could be a great tailback... barry sanders was i believe, 5'8'' and weighed 208 lbs. barry had some impossible vision though and cartoon speed so, you'd have your work cut out for you. but it can happen. there's also free safety, and widereciever but you'd need a little more size there...

Play where your coach puts you.

You are too small for QB I do know that.

Probably RB or DB would be my guess
