We like swimming and bodysurfing, but don't mind surfers around. Lots of sand is nice.

I live in Encinitas, and yes, Moonlight Beach is awesome, but the Strand, south of Coronado Island is magnificent.
Then, there is Black's Beach, north of La Jolla. Huge surf and, by the way, swim wear is optional.

moonlight beach in encinitas. My sister lives there and wouldnt give it up for anything in the world not even when her company transfers back to san fransisco in a few months. She's staying for the beach.
