Yes. The show has changed a lot (and in some ways, not enough) to keep up with the audience. It is still very formulaic, but every now and then the writers come up with something clever. After a while, you *want* to see Pikachu get pasted....just once.

As for the game, my son began playing it when he was 3.5 years old. I was 38, and so I learned. It's a very good game, a lot of fun. It doesn't suffer from 'rich kid syndrome', and we still break out the old school cards (we stopped playing together in tournaments about 2002). I still have all my badges, my damage tokens and my 1941 silver half dollar flipping coin.

But a lot of card sets have come and gone since then, and if you want to play nowadays, you would have to re-invest in all new stuff. You can't even use EX anymore! But the game is still fun.

And if you like it, play it. Ignore what other people say - they won't be around to entertain you when you're bored, so why pay mind to them when they give you crap for playing Pokemon?

I don't mind the game. I still play it on my game boy from time to time...

but my 1500 cards are just sitting under my bed doing nothing. Those were a complete waste.

Yes me too. I wake up every Saturday in the morning to watch it. Usually I sleep till noon. LOL.

NAW IM TO DAME OLD TO LIKE THEM ANYMORE. I USE TO BEAT UP THE GEEKS IN HIGH SCHOOL THAT PLAY THEM/. **** THEM WAS THE TIMES. I CANT WAIT FOR THIS YEAR TO START LOL
