Why are they saying Hezbollah and not Lebanon?

All the news coverage here (U.S.A.) says Isreal is 'fighting against Hezbollah' instead of saying 'at war with Lebanon'.

Is Hezbollah the government of Lebanon or not? I don't know.

So most feel that a country can bomb and invade another while claiming to only be going after one political party?

Hypothetically, if a foreign country bombed and invaded the U.S. and claimed to only be targeting Christian Conservatives would it not be said that the whole country was attacked?

It just makes no sense. The cause may be 'hezbollah' but the casualties are Lebanese and Isrealites. Hence, Lebanon and Isreal are at war.
