if walmart has it, how do i find it on their website?

i don't mean modeling clay like the colorful kind that 3rd graders use to make little bowls, i mean like real clay, for sculpting, not little bowls.

if you want real clay, like you have to fire in a kiln not a oven, check your yellow pages for a ceramics store.
If there is an artschool where you live, you may also check them out.
If you live in the countryside and not in the city, depending on where you live, you could just dig it from where there are naturally occuring clay deposits. though you have to test how well they fire and how high before it melts.

If you have michaels or ann's in the area I try there also you'd be surprised what you can find at walmart,indian stores and on ebay they say to shop around and you can find some good deals may try trying modeling clay sale in the search engines and maybe you'll find something?

Any local hobby store should have what your looking for. Another similar product for sculpting miniatures is also sculpting putty, which normaly comes in a bar with two colors that you mix together to form a putty which will dry over time.

Depending on your project, you might be able to use salt dough. It is really cheap and bakes solid in a standard oven.

There is a family who makes their living making beautiful dessert decorations out of salt dough. They look so real and yummy!
