Your parents are probably a lot better off financially today than they were when they were your age. They probably just don't want to spoil you.

If you really want a car, the right thing to do would be to talk to your parents to see if they will buy you a fairly inexpensive first car when you turn 16, tell them that you will get a job and pay them a fixed amount every month (or week).....and if you miss a payment, they keep the car until you catch up with your payments.

Your parents will be doing their part in helping you learn responsibility and you will get your car.

Well you're not 16. =]
I got a car for my 16th too. But maybe your parents don't have the money to buy you a car like they were given. Get a job and save up money and buy a cheap one on your own.

Buy it yourself. I did. Get a part time job. Save your money. Trust me, it'll mean more to you.

Actually, I borrowed about half the cost of the car ($750 at the time. Yeah, I'm older than dirt) from my Dad. I had a weekend job and paid him $5 a week until it was paid off (about 1.5 years). It was good training for having a mortgage now.

Get a job
Be happy you're parents are probably f'in rich....you're probably spoiled...whining on here about not getting a car is telling me that.

I had to buy my first car, it was a pile of crap and looked like a box, and was only 900 dollars, but it got me where i needed to go...
ahhh, boxmobile

since you're 15.5, you don't deserve a car. grow up. teenagers don't age themselves using the half and quarter sh*it. get a job first

Maybe if you work really hard to get the money to buy one, they will see your initiative and motivation and they will get one for you after awhile, or maybe meet you halfway.
