Well... that's the whole point of the SAT. College administrators know that this school over here gives students an easier time than that school over there.

So it uses the SAT score to determine how the students compare to eachother on a standardized test.

Most schools will consider both grades and scores, usually by inputing the numbers into a formula.

ALWAYS prepare for the SAT by studying practice tests. Most libraries have books to help you study. You can improve your score by at least 10% if you practice for it beforehand.

If you've already taken the SAT, consider taking the ACT.

AND BE SURE TO PREPARE FOR IT LIKE YOU WOULD ANY TEST.

SATs mean everything since every school is different.

My school is pretty hard, tahts why my grades aren't THE best, how when i went to take the SATs i did really well on them.

THATS what colleges mostly look at becuase everyone is taking the same test, where as in different high schools some are harder then others.

Keep on taking your SATs, study for them and get a tutor!

You're chances are 50/50 depends on what your certain college looks m0ore into

Many times colleges will not let SAT scores weigh as much if the student has a high GPA. If it's not too late, I would suggest also taking the ACT.

I would try to retake the SAT's just to make sure. You're chances may be ok without good SAT scores, but if you're really worried, a better score wouldn't hurt and you can take the higher of the two so theirs no risk, you're just out some money for taking the second test

you have good chances. Infact im sure I read somewhere (cant remember but good source) that schools are beginning not to put too much emphasis on your SAT scores. I was an A student in HS but my SAT scores were horrible...im currently in PennState Main campus and I got in there Freshman year, didnt need to transfer like other people. Apply and write a good essay. That, as well as your beautiful transcript should carry you!

Pretty good. The higher your GPA the lower your SAT scores have to be to get in.

Your chances will still be good but I would consider retaking the SAT and maybe take the ACT which is also a standard test but some people do better on it. ( I think it has something to do with how the questions are asked) GOOD LUCK

I had a horrible ACT score and a really good GPA and I got into a good college...some people don't test well...so most of the time this is taken into consideration...best of luck!!

You have a pretty good chance of getting into a good college. They look at everything- GPA, SAT, extracur., commun. service, etc.

They want a 'well-rounded student'.
