For all you people who dis our serious questions with quotes from the bible...and those have a similar opinion...I have friends who go to church and say that they accept everyone and anyone, yet they do not accept gays, but i do have friends who actually follow their faith and accept everyone for who they are. I know that in the bible it refers to being gay as a sin, but isn't discriminatin also a sin? not loving someone for who they are? Being bi, i usually do not partake in my friend's conversations when they are talking about people who are gay are in the wrong, although they do not know i am bi. I just wondered why people can't see and accept gays as humans? it's a way of life, do people who discriminate have an image of a perfect human? do they think that God has only one mold for everyone??? i thought that everyone is individual? so why is it so hard to accept us?!

yeah i see where you're coming from with the whole, gays shouting their sexuality to everyone, but not everyone out of the community does that!

First, I must say that I love you! I'm glad you have friends that abide by the teaching of their religion (assuming their Christian) and do not judge others. That said, I must now say, "Shame on you!" for not standing up for yourself and others in the face of conversation with friends. Do take that admonition with a grain of salt since it's coming from a queen! :-) Unfortunately, I must also take issue with your statement, "It's a way of life. . ." WRONG! It's who we are and how we feel. Otherwise I agree with you. Did I mention I love you? Really. You are obviously a delightful person with a heart and mind that many should be jealous of.

Look , I don't support homosexuality in any way shape or form, but YET I will not shun someone if that is what they are and what they choose to be.
Yes, I am a church goer too. I was taught to judge not lest you be judged. I was taught to love one another and to learn to be like Jesus Christ. I respect everyone for who they are although I may not agree with their lifestyle. I don't point fingers and judge and say that they are a bad person. That's not my job . My job is to live the best I can and to love and respect others.
People discriminate against gays race religions, gender. It doesn't matter. People like and dislike various things.
There's not a thing we can do about it.
You just have to bite down and do the best that you can. It's hard but get a hold of yourself. Really. You might as well learn to accept things that you cannot change.

The simple answer is people discriminate against a whole lot of things and then use things like the bible, legislation, etc to validate their feelings and actions. The point is by being BI you can probably associate with not wanting to wear a label. Well alot of gay and straight people could learn from just doing that. It's what's inside that counts not who you're intimately attracted to.

I do. Many churches in my community accetp them too. They also accept Prositute, ex-convict etc.
Jesus accepted them all.
But Jesus also say, go and sin no more. So, they are expected to do away from their sin.
Err. . . the problem with gay is, they insist that Christian accept them to continue their sinful act. Err. . . not too nice right?
No, it is not that CHurches don't accept Gay, it is they refused to accept the grace of God to change a new life, and crying that people don't accept them.
Remember, Jesus come for the imprefect sinner. To give them strength to change for the better. Gay included. Jesus died for them too. His blood can wash away their sin. So, go and sin no more.

I accept gay people, I have a few gay and lesbian friends...I don't like what they do necessarily, but then I don't talk about the kind of sex I like either. God calls the act a sin, he still loves the people. I believe when you are young(if you are inclined) there is nothing wrong with experimentation . Discrimiation of any kind is wrong.

It is wrong for Christians to judge anyone. When you see someone who is spiritually sick, you don't condemn them. You approach them with love. Yes, it is a sin to be homosexual. And yes, it is a sin to condemn and be judgmental. We are to love all people as we are to love ourselves. That is a commandment. The bible also teaches that God hates the sin...not the sinner. So, as far as Christians go, if they are true Christians, they should carry the countenance of Christ. Whatever is good enough for him, should be good enough for everyone.

hey ,i understand. but as a guy who is in the same boat , people fear what they dont understand. its even harder when you try to explain being bi-sexual. the bible crowd has this super ego problem that wont allow them to accept anyone that doesnt act or say what they do. but this is for them , "what you do to the least of these ,you do to ME" . be yourself and God does love you.

I dont care who is gay or lesbian for me.."To each his own" but what I do not care for is "How the Gay/Lesbian community has to constantly "toot" their horn that they ARE GAY! I am STRAIGHT and I dont go around "blasting" it in front of other peoples faces every chance I get...I dont care who anyone prefers to go to bed at night...that is a "PRIVATE AND PERSONAL" matter...so why dont they just keep it that way?

our history of this planet has dissed people of all color, lifestyles, religion, etc.....peoples opinions and their outlooks will not change...people will dislike what they are afraid of or what they dont understand....above all i believe you have to believe in yourself and have faith within you that you are okay.....people can judge and they always will.....but what if, when we all are standing at the pearly gates waiting to get in....who are the ones that will get in---the judgemental, angry, mean, stupid people??? or the ones that believe in themselves and what kind of person that they decided to be......
