Other animals probably do too, but dogs are the most common. This question would deal if man (not woman) had no alternative but to live outdoors without the modern conviences and in areas where there are no "outhouses" or portable toilets. Referring to modern man.

The answer is a big 'NO'! Man is the type of creature that would use a similar place all the time..a cooking area for cooking, a sleeping area, and a seperate area for 'doodie'. Even today, when you are traveling, there are places, say behind a service station on a hwy, where you can tell men have stopped and urinated. Is this because a spot looks beeter than another? I tend to use the same spot as everyone else has myself. You would most likely bury feces or have a hole you used on several occasions. the 'outhouse' came from even more primitive designs. And I have always noticed girls tend to go in pairs. This may be from days when we really did live without any modern conveniences and a trip to the bathroon required a lookout.
' Marking a territory' would be creating those 'pee spots' all around the property you lived on.
