why there are so many divorse and polygamy in western culture?

Many celebrities and ordinary people of western world tend to divorse their spouse and marry another person and they keep on repeating the same.why does this happen?

It has become too easy to divorce, and too difficult to stay married. Adults raised in the western culture have much weaker ties to their families, which makes it hard to survive in marriage. I'm an American who has been married to a Mexican and has lived in Mexico for the past 6 years. What I see here is that the wife needs less of her husband because she has more help from her family. Less is expected of men here, and a lot of the pressure of daily life is absorbed by the strong family ties, making marriage easier to survive. There are other things lacking though and I don't see many marriages of partners as I do in the U.S.

There is polygamy in many eastern cultures as well. The Chinese had multiple wives and concubines ending about a hundred fifty years ago. The Japanese also practiced polygamy.

I think there is divorces in the West because it's much more accepted. In some cultures it is a complete atrocity to divorce so people often stay in loveless unhealthy marriages. That being said I think for some it's an easy way out instead of working it out with the spouse. But that is really on a case-by-case basis.

I think generally after a divorce people need to really take time to be single and reflect on their mistakes in the marriage. However, this is the most difficult thing in the world for people and they often can't make that step. So they jump into a relationship with someone else, and they make the same mistakes or choose the same kind of person.

because they are rich and when they get sick of someone they can afford another, and that time they will be younger,hotter, etc....people are like accesories when u go to a movie premier or an awards show who is on your arm is just as if not more important than ur dress and other things. Its sad reallybut stars have a demanding lifestle and are often away from their spouse for a long period of time, plus they are adored by many people and thats cause for jealousy.

in most cultures its acceptable to have a god or a diety they call god and their god says divorce is a no no now america is being told that doesnt exist and accountablility isnt somthing to worry about. that a promise is only good so long as you "FEEL" like keeping it . ie i dont feel like im in love any more. i dont feel the passtion, i dont feel like i did before. and then they quickly follow up with you deserve the right to be happy. then we come to a sight like this and people use this as advice and say if you feel.

marriage isnt about feeling its about commitment and seeing your way through the bad times with expectations that youll be married till the end of your life. people are so imune to the fact they cant make a promise and keep it that they do it with out thinking these days. its a shame and its sickening especially when there is children getting their homes ripped away becuase one or the other doesnt respect the full deffintion of ( promise) but one day when they stand before the banned ones thrown they will believe in a promise then. hindsight is 20/20 exept to those who are ignorant.

thats not true there are as many seperations in india as other countries as it is in the u. s. a the only difference is that foriegn culture have tendency to try hide and be secretive with there wrong doings and western countries just dont care to expose it and ecspecially in india the divorce rate is sky high most indian couples decide to seperate rather than get divorce due to the fact of society it self and the very long waitin list of people thats inline to get divorced it takes tooo longggggggggg for divorce in india other wise u would see how many indian couples get divorced there,, it would be a alarming rate...

Well, the ordinary people is easy.....the man marries his woman for her beautiful.....even if she is a b*tch....and when they get married, and he find this out.....he wants out...and gets out....unfortunately, he does not learn....so they can find a good woman this time.....women tend to think they can change a man....and went they can't they get out of the marriage.....if we would jsut find someone we like for who they are....we would not have this problem......As for the celebrities....they are jsut stupid....they know little about anything, and it is all for publicity....combined with the reason for ordinary people.....they have much less chance to seucceed......
