Male escorts are in demand, though unlike female prostitutes, women usually want the "whole package." That is, they want men who will escort them to fancy dinners, or the opera, and make them look good. Male escorts need to not only look impressive. They need to have excellent manners, and know how to act in polite society.
Usually the women who use escorts are older, and somewhat vain, and well-to-do.
I have met men who were escorts while dining at fund-raisers with the very well-to-do. It is never a good idea to publicly "notice" that the man has been hired to escort the woman. These women are generally vain, and do not wish others to know that the pay for their dates.
