I wouldn't go so far as to say poser unless you try to make others believe that you can skate.

Well, if you go all out bad telling the whole neighborhood you skate which you dont, that would be walking on the poser side. If you just wear the clothes because it's very ncie looking and comfortable your not a poser. If you think the is sport is great and not play, then it's ok because it's ok to like something. People watch basketball and not play basketball. Whoever calls you a poser is a poser because they worry about how others are in skating.

Something about skateboarders that I think is interesting is that they think they so cutting edge, when in fact skate boards were around and made popular by their parents and grand parents. Even the old rock group the Beach Boys had skate boarding songs. The difference today is that to be a skater is not really about skating its about dressing and thinking the same as others who want to be identified with that group. The board has been around for a long time and there are some true old timers out there who can do a lot with them...but might break a hip now!! All skaters are posers, not just the ones who fake it and can't skate at all.

no unless u tell peeps u can sk8 i love 2 sk8 and just because i dont look like i would sk8 when i try 2 tell peeps that i do sk8 they dont beleive me and say im a poser but i dont care i love sk8in w/ a passion and im gonna keep workin at it!!!! ur not a poser!!! dont worry about what peeps think their ur clothes wear em

no... it simply indicates that your into the punk, metal or alternative look...
people wear nba, nfl, mlb and national soccer jerseys all the time, everywhere. it doesn't mean they play for that particular team...
i wear baggy jeans and warm ups... it doesn't mean i'm ever going to sign a record deal with shady aftermath, deathrow, rockafella, or badboy records, does it?
it's called having a sense of syle and to some that may be described as dressing like a sk8er boi!!!
