I don't know who that last guy called, but it was not PODS. I just used PODS about two months ago and it was way cheaper than UHAUL. It only cost me a total of $300 for the POD and to have it moved from one location to another. There was not any mandatory three month rental fee. I paid a one month rental fee whether I kept it for 1 day, 10 days or 30 days. They did offer a discount on the second and third months of rental if i needed it longer, but I was not obligated to pay anything above and beyond the one month fee if I did not need it for that long. I was very happy with PODS. they were very courteous and explained everything in detail, there were no hidden charges and they picked it up and dropped it off at my new location exactly where I asked them to, you don't even have to be home when they drop it off to the new location. They will put it wherever you want...right in front of your front door or in your back yard if you want. There aren't any ramps to have to load up onto because it is sitting right on the ground, which made is so much easier to load and unload. I got the largest POD they offer and was able to stuff a four bedroom house full of furniture and belongings with a little room to spare. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any other question.

several options are available, I would say to rent a truck yourself if you are interested in saving money. POD storage units can get very exepensive very quickly. Check out the site below for good info on your option, no real resources for finding business to work with but tons of good moving services info and articles

You'd be better off using a UHAUL truck. (They have different size trucks to choose from.) Also, call different UHAUL Co.'s in your surrounding areas. (Same company but totally different prices!) Seriously, I called PODS. They are WAY TO EXPENSIVE!! Not worth all the fees and deposits and mandatory 3month rental payments!
