A friend of mine he went to change his address on his license, they told him he had to reinstate it first, but he never got no notices of anything, he hasn't gotten any tickets in a few years. But, it was too late today for him to get it reinstated.

States vary in their laws. Some common reasons that licenses are revoked: unpaid traffic violations tickets, too many points (accidents), driving under the influence,and if you fail to renew your license when it expires. I think that some states also revoke your license if you are behind in child support payments.

Because it was either suspended, due to: too many traffic tickets, DUIs, DWIs, no insurance, didn't pay court fines, didn't pay their State ordered child support... or maybe because they simply forgot to renew it.

most of the time it would be because you license expired or has been suspended for some reason like no insurance,

They may need a car to get to work or because of sickness in the family.
