the answer to this is of course yes if that is the only thing that they get their news from. Some Americans do not trust american media. At leat not what is refered to as Main-stream Media. We base personal opinion on the news we get so many americans are basing their positions on what the news tells them. But their are some of us who are objective and are willing to listen to other sources besides nbc msnbc cbs abc and fox. So It can give americans a distorted or limited view if thats all they listen to.

The only way to get a true and undistorted view of the world is to go see the world. There are those that will try to manipulate and say "everyone sees things differently", but as I think you know thats simply not true. People tend to look at thinks more like everyone else because if they didnt we wouldnt have things like language, communication, technology, science and math, biology, the list goes on and on. The fact that people, for the most part, see things in a similar way is the whole basis for civilized society.

That is a good question. I have noticed that when watching American news on lets say World report there is nothing on the broadcast about the world. It is what Washington thinks or how this or that affects American. Have a look at foreign new someting and they will tell you what is going on there.

Yes it fails to show the good things that the US military are doing in Iraq. Like building schools, building power stations so that people who never had power under Saddam can have it, building hospitals, roads, and wells. None of this gets reported on CNN so yes you can finally say you got something right (sort of)
