Good point.
I heard that we are preparing for an intergalactic scuffle with Alpha Centauri. That oughtta get some red states.

No. They have self-righteous moral indignation, too. Unfortunately for Democrats, that's about two strategy points more than they have.

We Have Not Correctly Framed the Debate on Intelligence Reform
by
SAXBY CHAMBLISS, Republican Senator from Georgia, member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Senate Select Committee on Intelligence
"In the weeks and months leading up to 9/11, we failed to interpret, analyze, and share information gathered. Subsequently the intelligence community failed the President by presenting an inaccurate analysis of the quantities and capabilities of Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction (WMD)."
I guess someone had better tell the US Army, the Senate Committee on Intelligence, and our various intel services that there were significant stockpiles of WMD after all. They seem to still be under the impression that the WMD intelligence was bad (you'd think they would know). Just because Hannity, O'Reilly, Coulter, et al say something over and over again doesn't make it true...

Its a time test strategy that has worked for the both parties, but the Republican party has benefited the most from inculcating fear into the masses. Reagan benefited from the Cold War paranoia to win two elections, Bush Sr. rode on the coat tails of Reagan’s fight with the USSR to win his first term, and now his son managed to win a second election through exploiting America’s fear of the great boogie man; Al Qaeda.
Without fear the public would not be distracted from Republican’s poor domestic and fiscal policy. Fear is seminal to their political success.

Yes, because the Democrats' strategies are all used up and NOBODY pays attention to the Libertarian strategies.
As for World War III, we are already IN it, but the Republicans are lying to us by saying that World War III is NOT upon us and they make it sound like if we don't agree with their agenda, then World War III WILL be upon us!

I thought it was the Dems that tell us that old folks will not get medicines and school children will have their lunch budgets cut if the Republicans are elected.
Democrats perfected scare tactic politics in 1964. See the Barry Goldwater election link below and learn something today.

Sweetheart, why do you persist in this delusion that all Republicans are uneducated? I have two degrees. The advanced degree was earned with a 4.0 and earned me an invitation as a charter member of the honor society for that degree. We are not stupid, dear heart, we are the logical, intelligent ones. It is YOUR leaders who keep telling you you are more intelligent than we are to make you feel better.

That's the only strategy (aside from stealing elections) they've ever had. It's all they'll ever have. They MUST have power, at any and all costs.
They rely on the great unwashed masses of semi-literate citizens who thump their bible with one hand while they thump their children with their other.
That's the only people (well, besides giant corporation presidents and CEOs) they can get to vote for them.
Intelligent, educated people will never vote Republican.

It isn't the Republicans. The media is the group that has been coming up with all of this BS about a WORLD war. I'm sorry to hear that they scared you that much.

you know that in today's age of information, there is no reason for any American to be "uneducated". It would be a lack of ambition to find more information about what is going on in the world.
