I think it was SOOO unfair that we lost... the referee didn´t count as a goal... we deserved to win...

They were like a well-oiled machine (sometimes). Their second game was a display of football skills that no one else could rival, they had the best goals of the Cup (and for a team that only scored in 4 games, a very nice amount of goals!), and I think that, with better decisions from the coach, Argentina could have gone farther.

However, I'm very proud of them even if they only made it to quarters. They tied with Germany until the very end of extra time and gave the people back home something to celebrate. I'm just sorry we didn't get to see Messi in the last game, and that Abbondanzieri was injured at such an awful time.

There-s no doubt that footballistically talking no team has played better than Argentina, but we had to face the powerfull 3 time world champion Germany at home I think the match was kind of a final. In football maybe you don-t diserve to win but you win, in other words, the one who wins...wins. Unless the ref was clearly with the germans, we knew it would be like that, but it didn-t influence the final result. He did gave more free kicks to the germs and things like that, but there were no important decissions that could harm us like a penalty like in 1990 or something like that. Moreover I think that this cup for arg was the best it played because the others were only maradona and other things which I won-t like to mention. In this cup Argentina was Argentina.

Y'all have NO idea how I was cursing Pekerman after Argentina lost ... I mean WHY IN THE WORLD didn't he put in Messi or for that matter put in Julio Cruse (not sure abt spelling) in place on Crespo, or take away Riquelme after scoring just one goal?????????

I totally agree with u Lola P Argentina really shouldn't have lost ....... they were among the very few teams who actually played for the nation and not for themselves ...... .

And if u speak abt refereeing in this WC .. it was the worst I remember. I have to say this ... the host looked like hypocrites in the sense that the have their mo to as "Say no to racism" and the do such a lot of it themselves on the field. They were particularly unfair to the South American (except Brazil) and African countries.

When Argentina lost I seriously cried. It wasn't fair. I really, really, really don't think Germany deserved it. Through the whole game Argentina was the better team. It was only because of the need to replace the goalkeeper. I don't think I'll ever get over that game. I can't believe Riquelme was taken out and Messi was never put in!

Look, Italy is a great team and they deserve that cup. Argentina was not well prepared to face Germany. They must practised more and improve their defense. And yeah, they should not keep Messi and Tevez on the bench, they are good players, so they should let them play.

i agree that the refs made some pretty bad calls during some games with argentina. its unfair, but as a whole, there were alot of bad calls made...not just towards argentina.

i think the team itself was phenomenal! we had the perfect blend of fresh new players with messi and tevez and experienced older players like riquelme, crespo, and sorin. also, unlike other teams, there was no one on the argentina team that tried to show off and score all by themselves. they worked together to help each other score....they had some great plays and were amazing (for the most part)...

unfortunately the team is just inconsistent and i think thats the fault of the coach (idiot peckerman!) cause hes the one that chooses who plays, who sits on the bench, and who gets switched. the coach should know the team's weaknesses and strengths and peckerman just didnt seem to know his team as well as other coaches like marcello lippi of italy and scolari of portugal.

Argentina played well but came against the host nation and beat them on penalties.

i love argentina!
they should win cause their players are all so great and valuable. in the game against germany they deserved to win, they played better. those penalties were stupid and they should repeat the last one cause lehman moved from the line before cambiaso shot.
when they cried, i felt like crying too cause i just love them!!!
