Your skin is the largest organ of your body and you do not want to overdry it. always have in mind skin follows a biological timeline, by decades of life. During your 20s and 30s, the first wrinkles start to appear and skin becomes less resistant as elasticity declines and gravity begins to take hold. In your 40s and 50s, repetitive movements form the first permanent wrinkles as genetics, gravity and a decrease in collagen and elastin cause skin and muscle to sag. The scrubs stimulates your skin's timeline to regenerate more often and it will help you with the dark skin. also, bathing daily cleanses the skin, but it also can dry it out, causing it to look dull, but most importantly, it may cause irritation and remove the natural emolients your body produces to keep it healthy. When you bathe, always use a moisture-rich cleanser, and always pamper your skin with a daily moisturizer . Avoid using products formulatted with mineral oil and animal products. These do not get absorbed by the skin and what it does is that it clogs your pores. In fact mineral oil is the 2nd worse thing you could do to your skins health #1 is the sun, it is like rubbing car oil on your skin and exposing yourself to the sun... Animal product come form rendering plants, these plants pick all dead animals from the road, meatmarkets etc and what they do is put them in a huge pot and squash everything inside and boil it the oil that comes to the top is what other companies use to formulate their "beauty" products ... gross i know.. eww lipstick and aghhh .. anyway, the important thing to do is read your ingredients and use the right ones regularly .... Acne medications or treatments usually have benzoyl peroxide which is very strong for your skin and this is the reason it overdries your skin and you would want to avoid this for the wrinkles... now about the blackheads or white heads known as comedones, can be more numerous on the face and shoulders than red bumps filled with pus. Good consistent skin hygiene can help improve this condition. Therefore, knowing more about what causes comedones and how to treat them is a step towards clearer skin and they are another way of saying acne... .Acne is the term for plugged pores (blackheads and whiteheads), pimples, and even deeper lumps (cysts or nodules) that occur on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and even the upper arms. I use Arbonne's Deep Pore Cleansing Masque and their facial scrub anyway, their entire antiaging line which i love and I am only 33 years old, and i want to avoid getting those fine lines deeper ... they are not sold in stores but i buy them online at:http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com under shop online, and have noticed that the blackheads have dissappear and when i see some they are easily to get them out with out marking your skin. they are botanically based and formulatted with no animal products and wihout mineral oil. works wonderful for me and the best thing is that you could shop online, receive it in your house and if ther is something you do not like about the products which is rarely to happen, you return the item and they give your money back .... you have nothing to loose only those hateful blackheads ;~)

1) its bad to dry out your skin bcuz it can cause MORE acne because oil production speeds up, trying to hydrate and protect the skin and dry skin w/ oil clogs pores
2)yes you can get acne by washing too much for above reason, and for aggrivating the skin
3)your skin should have SOME oil, but mostly you should clean it 3 times ea day w/ a salicylic acid wash and use an oil free moisturizer
4)prescribed treatment has better ingredients that aren't so harsh
Benzoyl peroxide can cause more acne by causing dry skin and clogging the pores w/ dry skin & oil
5)yes, there are different types of acne; blackheads, cysts, etc

PP are right you don't want to over dry your skin so I wouldn't use anything to harsh to wash your face, you should always follow washing by putting on an oil free moisturizer. I would use Noxzema (is even great to shave with if you are a guy)or Cetiphil for face wash and Cetiphil's face lotion. both are gentile and should help. Other than that I would drink more water which will help keep your skin hydrated and less soda's and things that will dry out your body. Also, make sure that you are getting enough fiber so that your body is getting rid of toxins that way and not through your skin.
Good Luck

the answer to number one is no, it's not good to dry out your skin. that doesn't make your skin get better at all. it makes your acne worse because then, your body wants to produce more oils to make your skin not dry anymore.
