In the summer vacation, should it abolish?
Because there are many houses and buildings which air-conditioning was installed in, in the summer vacation, it thinks that recently is unnecessary.

It was originally set up for farming families as many young men were unable to attend during the hieght of growing season. Since most farms are corporations that's no longer the case.

However...

Research has shown that students who get a break from studying are more relaxed and open to learning than their counterparts who school year round.

That having been said, I personally believe US summer vacations are too long. Six weeks should be enough for anyone as it gets young people used to a schedule they will not see in their working lives. (Unless they become teachers)

Also many students in poorer areas don't receive enough food or supervision during the summer months.
