NO I'M NOT LOOKING FOR A HANDOUT.
I WORK VERY HARD FOR MY MONEY.
THERE ARE SOME BLACKS WHO ARE LOOKING FOR THE EASY WAY OUT.
MAY IT BE WELFARE,FOODSTAMPS,WHATEVER.
BUT THERE ARE ALSO WHITES ON FOODSTAMPS AS WELL.
AND SOME DON'T EVEN NEED IT.
YOU CAN'T TELL ME THERE ARE NO WHITES ON FOODSTAMPS.
AM I TO BELIEVE THAN THAT ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE RICH AND LIVE IN MANSIONS?
LAZY PEOPLE COME IN EVERY RACE AND SHADE BUT I THINK YOU KNOW THAT ALREADY,YOU JUST WANT TO VOICE YOUR CLOSE MINDED,RACST OPINIONS.
IF EVERY BLACK PERSON IN THIS WORLD WENT TO COLLEGE AND BECAME A DR OR A LAWYER YOU'D STILL FEEL THE SAME WAY BECAUSE YOU'VE MADE UP YOUR MINDS ABOUT US ALL.
INSTEAD OF HATING WHY DON'T YOU LOOK FOR A WAY TO STOP STEREOTYPES,END RACISM(FOR ALL RACES)
DO SOMETHING POSITIVE.
DON'T SEGRAGATE.
THIS IS AMERICA AND WE ARE AT WAR BUT YOU WANT TO FIGHT YOUR OWN KIND?(AN AMERICAN)
WE(BLACKS,WHITE,ASIANS,HISPANICS)NEED TO COME TOGETHER TO FIGHT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE INVADING OUR LANDS.
I'M TALKING ABOUT THE TERRORIST.
DO YOU EVEN REMEMBER 9-11?
YOU'VE SEEM TO HAVE FORGOT AND ARE MORE FOCUSED ABOUT DEGRADING BLACKS.
THIS IS NOTHING AGAINST MUSLIMS OR ARABS(BECAUSE NOT ALL OF THEM ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR 9-11)BUT WE NEED TO WORRY ABOUT KEEPING THIS LAND SAFE.
WE ARE BROTHERS AND SISTERS WE ARE ALL AMERICAN.
BUT I KNOW THAT YOU KNOW THE WAY YOU THINK IS A SAD WAY TO THINK MAN.
GET IT TOGETHER.

Looking at some statistics most Toms are Caucasian some based on those I would that was a racist comment. If you are in the low percentage of African American Toms than you are demeaning your race. Either way I take what you said as an Insult as a self efficient strong black woman.Oh and as far as the food stamp thing goes that is an aid to Americans that can not afford groceries for their children which by the way are the future of are nation. Who's going to be the president or state senator if they're an Ethiopian?

I'm black and I have never and will never be on any kind of program like that. I have an engineering degree and my wife is working on her Master's degree right now. My sister and father have PhD's (psychology and electrical engineering), another sister has a Master's, and my other one will enroll in grad school next year after she gets her Bachelor's. So all in all, heck no I'm not looking for a handout. The problem is that the media rarely shows or talks about minorities like me, which makes many not like us. I hope you realize that blacks have plenty to offer our country. I for one feel like it isn't that hard to turn welfare into an unemployment-type compensation instead of a way of life. I say cut everyone off except those that are actively looking for a job and not having kids while they can't afford to take care of themselves. 1/100th of that $100 billion we spent in Iraq would cover it.

the people that i have seen abuse food stamps and things like that the most were white. even so, it's not a good idea to make broad assumptions about a group of people based on their skin tone, which is biological and genetic. i also would not be hasty to judge african americans when the very nature of their existance in america came from slave trading. have we really paid back that debt? much like the native americans, there is a betrayel in america's past that needs to be honestly and genuinely addressed by our government. too say that america is a free country when we systematically favor one group over another is ridiculous. it smacks of the class system back in great brittian.

I live in a big city and 9/10 of the homeless are black. Go figure. I used to live in the nicest city in America according to Money magazine. Then we got the 2nd largest population of somalians next to somalia, and we mysteriously dropped off the list, go figure.

We should be concerned with all the handouts we give to other countries-. Taking care of our own people is what we should do-. They have to qualify to receive assistance-. It is the condition of our nation that is partly to blame for their need, just as it is partly to thank for the opportunity that foreigners and wealthy people have here-.
