Be more progressive about the idea that urban sprawl is inevitable. Place security cameras on that snap a shot of your license plate and violation which will send a bill to your home along with the date and time indictor. Make sure that new roads are maintained but only during low traffic hours not high traffic hours. For example, repavement should be surfaced at night on highways not during the day when there is more traffic.

I like the idea of more mass transportation options such as rail and bus. Carpooling is necessity. The problem with this is afterall are dropped off like in a family situation, there is always one person left. You can't stop that person everytime they are alone in the vehicle.

Rules need to be given to riders of bicyles and followed by both cars and bicycles. I see more cars who break bike laws than bike riders causing potential harm or even death to the rider.

Invent a portable car - whenever a traffic jam is noticed getout - roll into back pack carry it till you find a free way-on getting one reopen the back pack and roll it down-travel smoothly- I came to know recently an European manufaturer had tested a two wheeler of this type-
Do you know about any such development from media?

Nothing!
Can't have your cake and eat it too. We want everything but nothing to give in return. Unless we are prepared to go back to pre-car era, let's pay the consequences and enjoy life as much as possible.
